Tenure track position in physics
The Department of Physics at the University of Haifa invites applications for a tenure-track position at the senior-lecturer level (equivalent to the rank of assistant professor) to begin in October 2027. Candidates in all areas of theoretical physics, theoretical/experimental biophysics and astrophysics are encouraged to apply. Exceptional candidates with appropriate experience and qualifications may be considered for appointment at a higher rank.
The candidates should hold a Ph.D in physics or a closely related field, and have postdoctoral research experience together with a strong track record of research achievements. The successful candidate is expected to develop an internationally recognized research group, advise graduate students and postdoctoral researchers, and attract external funding. The newly recruited faculty member is expected to teach in Hebrew at the undergraduate and graduate levels (after an appropriate adjustment period for candidates who are not yet proficient in Hebrew).

– a research statement describing previous achievements and future research plans, limited to three pages
– a teaching statement
