I am a Ph.D student in the group of Prof. Doron Chelouche. We are currently studying active supermassive black holes at the heart of galaxies; our focus is on the physical mechanisms underlying accretion, which we study by monitoring these objects in polarized light. This allows us to shed light on the emission mechanism and immediate environs of active black holes. To this end we use cutting edge micropolarizer-array technology, which is installed on the H80 telescope, the university telescope, which is located in the Negev desert near Mitzpe Ramon.
