I am a Ph.D student in the group of Dr. Shahar Hadar. We are currently studying black holes in general relativity; our work focuses on the fine structure of the photon ring of a Kerr black hole. The photon ring has an intricate, universal structure determined by the BH’s warped spacetime geometry and is largely independent of astrophysical parameters. Studying its fine structure could thus provide predictions for universal, strong gravitational effects in BH images.
I have obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences from the Open University, and my Master’s degree in Physics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem under the supervision of Prof. Barak Kol.
