Public events
The department of physics supports a science lectures series at the University of Haifa, named “Mada Al Ha’har” (“science on the mountain”), which is open to the public at takes place about once a month during the fall and spring semesters. The lectures take place in the evening in the Mt. Carmel campus, and, weather permitting, are followed by a guided astronomical observation. Speakers include local faculty members as well as affiliates and visitors of the department from Israel and abroad.
Lectures are in Hebrew, and are free of charge. No prior knowledge of physics is assumed.
